We are committed to fostering not only academic excellence but also the social and emotional well-being of our Nimitz students. Our focus on social-emotional learning equips students with essential skills such as empathy, resilience, and effective communication, creating a supportive and inclusive school environment. Each day, our students also learn and practice our Dolphin pride PBIS skills of Being Safe, Being Responsible, and Being Respectful. 

During lunch recess, students enjoy a variety of student clubs and activities, including engaging STEAM projects facilitated by our tech specialist in our tech lab and literacy activities hosted in our welcoming library. We prioritize active problem-solving and foster creativity through the arts, ensuring that every child finds joy and curiosity in their learning journey.

Our Peacemakers Program is integral to fostering peaceful playgrounds and effective conflict resolution. Additionally, our students benefit from daily coaching and structured recess activities with our Recess 101 coach, providing them with organized play and social interaction skills.
