Access the Nimitz Library Catalogue from home. Also available are English and Spanish encyclopedias and eBooks through ABDO and Sora.

Classes come during their scheduled half hour each week and enjoy story or literature time, as well as book checkout time.

Student borrowing policies are as follows:

Books:
TK - 1 book for 1 week (once we start checking out books)                                                    
Kindergarten - 1 book for 1 week                                  
1st through 2nd grades - 1 books 1 week             
3rd through 5th grade - 2 books for up to 2 weeks                            

eBooks:

All Grades - 2 books for 2 weeks
NOTE: eBooks cannot be checked out if there is an overdue on the account.

Fines and Fees:
There are no fines for Overdue books, however, they should always be returned on time. If a book is Overdue for too long, checkout privileges may be temporarily suspended. If a book is lost or damaged, then it must be paid for in full. Replacing the book itself is not an option.

SORA - every CUSD student can check out books through the SORA library app in Clever. Log into Clever using your QR badge or your CUSD email and password. Click on the SORA icon. The first time on a new device you will also need to sign into SORA (Email: ######@cusdk8.org, Password: same password as Clever).
